The Interview – Part One and Two
The point of writing your excellent resume targeted specifically toward this job is to get you an interview. If you’ve been invited for your first round of the interview process, congratulations! You’re doing everything right so far. Proud of you, round of applause! In The Sorority House Director’s Survival Guide, the interview process is covered thoroughly. In this first phase of phone calls, the Board is considering the women who might be a good fit to run the sorority house, and also mesh with them. That’s a very important component of the House Director’s job. The Board is your boss. So, you want to get through this winnowing process.
The second part of the process is more up close and personal. If you seem like one of the top candidates, the Board will invite you for an in-person interview. That’s when you know you’re in serious consideration. Prepare! Then get your hair and nails done, enjoy the final step of the process. Getting invited to visit the sorority house gives you a chance to check out the House Director’s apartment and the condition of the whole enterprise. Remember, it’s a two-way street. You want to make sure it’s a good fit for you, too.
