The Florida Epsilon Chapter of Pi Beta Phi is looking for a special woman to fill our full-time resident House Director position at the University of Central Florida in Orlando FL, beginning approximately July 01-15, 2011. Our sorority house is home to approximately 36+ live-in members and 150 live-out members.

Applicants must have strong social, organizational, managerial, communication and computer skills including email programs, Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus. Experience working with Greek Letter Organizations and a completed Bachelors degree or equivalent is preferred. House Director candidates must have at least five years professional experience. Successful candidates will have proven experience in property management, food service, counseling or human services. Applicants must be willing to relocate to the Orlando area. The Pi Beta Phi House is a non-alcohol and non-smoking facility and no pets are allowed. A full reference and background check will be conducted before a formal offer will be made.

House Director's duties include, but are not limited to:

-Ensuring the safety of house occupants.

-Coordinating the day to day facility management with the Chapter House Corporation & Greek Management company.

-Working with our Greek Management company to ensure the timely and satisfactory performance of facility repairs and maintenance.

-Hiring and supervising kitchen staff, cleaning staff and service providers. Supervising day-to-day activities of household and maintenance staff and conducting employee reviews.

-Supporting the Chef with meal planning and food budgeting. Conducting cost and quality comparisons of food and service providers, changing vendors as needed.

-Assisting the House Corporation Treasurer & Vice President-Finance in maintaining financial records and keeping within budgeted guidelines.

-Ability to understand the unique demands of college women.

-Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with parents, University staff, students, alumnae, service providers and community resources.

-Attending events with other Sorority & Fraternity House Directors to discuss the health, safety and well-being of all chapter members.

-Maintaining confidentiality & make appropriate student referrals.

-Observing of House rules and House Corporation Board policies and procedures

-Remaining in chapter house overnight 7 days a week.

-Participating in our annual inventory and ensure that inventory list is kept current.

-Assisting in planning and hosting special events.

-Coordinating fire and house inspection activities.

-Any offer of employment will be conditional on satisfactory proof that the applicant is legally authorized to work on the United States as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act.

Benefits Package includes:

-24 designated vacation days (three days at Thanksgiving, two weeks at winter break, & one week at spring break).
-Salary $22,000-$24,000 based on experience.
-Access to laundry facilities.
-The responsibilities and duties of this job can and will be effectively performed in a normal forty (40) hour workweek.
