Sigma Alpha Sorority is looking for a House Mom or House Parents that are open to working with collegiate members. We are looking for a flexible and easy-going woman/couple that understands the relationship required between the House Mom/Parents, the collegiate chapter, and the House Corporation. The House Mom will work with a team of volunteer alumnae members to manage the daily operations of Sigma Alpha Sorority House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Desired traits would be a positive solution-focused attitude and the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, parents, alumnae, service providers, and community resources. Enjoyment from working with college-age women, patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor are beneficial.

Responsibilities will include, ensuring a safe and productive environment for residents, observance of House rules and House Corporation policies and procedures, oversight of multiple service providers, and coordination of routine maintenance. Qualified candidates will maintain a standard of personal and professional conduct, which reflects positively on the chapter, and serve as an example to chapter members.

Benefits include a private living quarters equipped with a private bath. The following utilities are included: electric, gas, cable, and high-speed internet access. Actual hours worked vary by time of year, but the House Mom could easily maintain outside part-time employment. Time off is flexible during scheduled university breaks.
