Gamma Phi Beta – Indiana University
• Date the position begins: mid-August 2011
• Job description: The beautiful Gamma Phi Beta house in Bloomington, IN is looking to find a special woman to fulfill the position of House Director for a house of 95+ live-in members and another 40+ live-out members.
• Applicant must have a self-motivated work ethic, excellent communication, social, organizational and managerial skills.
• Should be skilled in basic budget planning, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Have an easy going, positive attitude, patience, flexibility
• A calm, cool head and a sense of humor are a must, as she must be able to understand the unique demands of college women.
• Able to interact professionally and diplomatically with parents, students, alumnae, service providers and community resources
• Able to walk up stairs
• Attend events with other Sorority & Fraternity House Directors to discuss the health, safety and well-being of all chapter members
• Attend events at chapter house in which there are adult guests
• Coordinate routine maintenance
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
• Must enjoy being with college age women
• Observe of House rules and House Corporation Board policies and procedures
• Remain in chapter house overnight 7 days a week
• Responsibilities include the hiring and discharging of household employees within board guidelines and supervising the duties of employees and hired contractors; day to day facility management and working with alumnae volunteers on household repairs, projects, and upkeep. She will help to ensure the safety of the house occupants.
• Benefits include room and board, which include all utilities, internet, private apartment and bathroom, health insurance and parking. HD will have school holidays off and one weekend a month when there is no holiday vacation.
• The Gamma Phi Beta House is a non-alcohol and non-smoking facility.
• No pets allowed
• House Director, college, property management experience and/or sorority affiliation a plus
Campus Cooks provides food services for the Gamma Phi Beta house.
