The Beta Beta Chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma House Corporation, at Missouri State University, is seeking a full-time, single female, live-in House Director to begin employment August 1, 2014. The Chapter House holds up to 54 residents. The House Director lives in the Chapter House in the House Director's suite. She is provided an assigned parking space, meal plan when the Chapter House is open, utilities, local phone, cable tv and wireless internet. This is a pet, smoke, alcohol, and firearms free environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Must be a single female.
• Must be able to type and use email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to climb up and down several flights of stairs and lift 25 pounds if necessary.
• Live in the Chapter House on a year-round basis, sleeping nightly at the House during all academic periods.
• Must be in good health, trustworthy and able to keep confidential information private.
• Be able to pass a background and credit check.
• Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with the collegiate members, parents, alumnae, service providers, university and community resources.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with collegiate women, patience, flexibility, a sense of humor and serve as a role model.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Previous House Director experience.
• Property management experience.
• Proven managerial skills.

MAJOR DUTIES – The House Director supervises the operation of the Chapter House as her full-time regular occupation. The House Director will perform a variety of tasks to ensure smooth daily operations of the facility. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Oversees the opening and closing of the Chapter House for the academic terms.
• Ensures a safe and productive environment for residents and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Observes all House Corporation rules, policies and procedures. Must be willing and able to enforce them.
• Manages multiple service providers.
• Coordinates routine facility maintenance.
• Supervises kitchen staff and cleaning service.
• Supports chef/staff with menu planning, budgeting, etc.
• Orders food and supplies while working within budget guidelines.
• Communicates regularly with the Chapter House Manager.
• Attends dinner with the collegiate members.
• Serves as the official hostess for the Chapter at social events held at the Chapter House.
• Keeps record of receipts, expenditures, and warranties.
