Description

The duties of the House Director will include, but not be limited to the following:

Chapter and Alumnae Relationships
Maintaining a supportive presence in the chapter house
Attending chapter functions as required by the chapter
Working with chapter officers in establishing and enforcing house rules
Reporting to the alumnae board of directors any major infractions of house rules
Complying with the University regulations and reporting as required
Maintaining a friendly and collaborative working relationship with house residents and alumnae board
Reporting to alumnae board of directors President or Personnel Manager as needed
Presenting a HD report at monthly meetings
Responding to email & voice messages

Maintaining Chapter House
Overseeing the opening and closing of the chapter house each semester (including preparation and follow-up)
Maintaining an inventory of household items
Attending to emergency repairs
Maintaining proper functioning of appliances, plumbing, electricity and inform alumnae board of directors of any issues
Monitoring safety and security
Picking up general clutter around the house
Examining and verifying all household bills and submitting to alumnae board treasurer

Employee Relationships
Acting as liaison between employees and alumnae board of directors
Keeping time records of non-salaried employees
Overseeing the cook, housekeeper, busing staff,etc.
Supervising of housekeeping activities
