The Sigma Sigma Chapter of Kappa Delta House Corporation Board at Iowa State University is seeking a full-time, live-in House Director for the upcoming 2014 – 15 school year. The Chapter House holds up to 52 residents.

The House Director lives in the Chapter House in the House Directors†suite. She is provided an assigned parking space, a meal plan when the Chapter House is open, utilities, Direct TV, wireless internet and a gas stipend. This facility is a smoke, alcohol, and firearms free environment.

Required Skills:
• Basic bookkeeping, able to keep track of bills and service workers hours, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, parents, alumnae, service providers and community resources.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with college-age women, patience, flexibility, and have a sense of humor.
• Must be in good health, trustworthy and able to keep confidential information private.
• Ability to climb up and down several flights of stairs and lift 25 pounds if necessary.
• Live in the Chapter House on a year-round basis, sleeping nightly at the House during all academic periods.
• Be able to pass a background and credit check.

Preferred Skills:
• Proven managerial skills
• Property management experience
• Previous House Director experience

Job Description includes, but not limited to:
• Keeps record of receipts, expenditures, warranties, key fobs and maintains provided budgets.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and serving as the on-site contact for vendors.
• Supervises kitchen staff and cleaning service.
• Observes all House Corporation rules, policies, procedures and must be willing and able to enforce them.
• Coordinate opening and closing of the house.
• Maintain the physical structure of the house and provide prompt communication of maintenance issues to House Corporation.
• Support the chapter women in their activities as well as providing a safe environment for the members.
