Description
Lives in-house and manages a Sorority or Fraternity House in a University setting. The HD provides a home-like environment for chapter members, with their safety and well-being as the primary responsibility. The HD is not a policing agent, but reports concerns regarding health, safety, or security to designated House Corporation or Advisory Board.
Mentors members without being intrusive. This may include being a good listener, maintaining an open-door policy for chapter members,, upholding house rules, reporting concerns to a House Corporation or Advisory Board, taking a student who is ill to a doctor, seeking referrals if necessary, considering members’ dietary needs and requests, attends House Corp and Advisory Board meetings. The Facility Manager assists with special events, holidays, and dinners for members and guests. It can be as simple as remembering birthdays and baking cookies, or attending their sports or other events when invited.
