Alpha Phi at Purdue University is seeking a full-time, live in House Director beginning in August 2014. A qualified temp will also be considered to support the transition process to a permanent hire.

Experience as a sorority house director is preferred, but similar property management or related experience will be considered.

Duties include the oversight of a chapter home housing 76 collegians, management of other staff and service providers, assistance to collegiate officers in event planning, encouraging observation of house rules, coordinating with the university on needed repairs and maintenance, and good communication with the house corporation board.

Special Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, parents, alumnae, HCB, advisors, university representatives, vendors, employees, etc.
Fitness: Health and occupational exam current

Essential Skills and Functions:

• Computer proficient in email communication and online ordering, as well as "texting"
• Ability to follow budget plan
• Ability to walk up and down stairs (and pass a successful occupational exam)
• Ability to give and receive written and verbal instructions as well as work independently
• Ability to establish, maintain, and nurture positive, professional relationships with HCB, advisors, parents of Alpha Phis, Alpha Phis, and University staff.
