The Iota chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, at the University of Illinois is seeking a full time, female, live-in House Director for the 2014-2015 academic year. The chapter has approximately 60 live in residents with 180+ active collegiate members. The House Director must enjoy working/living in a college environment with young women.
The House Director lives in the Chapter Facility in the House Director suite. The chapter provides an assigned parking space and meal plan along with utilities, local phone, cable, and wireless internet. The chapter facility is pet-free and smoke-free.
The House Director is an employee of the chapter. The Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity House Corporation and and advisory board play a vital role in assisting the chapter in its role as employer. The House Director will work closely with the VP Facility Operations, VP Finance, and Chapter President.
Experience is preferable, and duties include but are not limited to:
-live on site during all academic periods, sleeping nightly at house
-supervise opening/closing of chapter facility
-ensure clean, safe, living environment for all members
-Professional, positive presence
-supervision of staff, & cleaning service
-coordinate facility maintenance & serve as on-site contact for vendors
-support chef/staff with menu planning, budgeting, etc
-order food/supplies working within budget guidelines
-Pay vendors & keep record of receipts,expenditures & warranties
Candidates must be professional, organized, and have basic computer skills, including but no limited to email, word, and excel. The House Director must be in good health, trustworthy and able to keep confidential information private. Candidates will be required to pass a background investigation.
