Facility Director
Alpha Theta Chapter, Kappa Alpha Theta – University of Texas at Austin
The facility director shall operate and manage the chapter facility with the guidance of the Facility Corporation Board and the Advisory Board of the Alpha Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, and the rules and regulations of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity and the University. This is a full time, live in position through the academic year. Duties include:
• Maintaining a lovely, organized, safe, well kept home
for the women of Kappa Alpha Theta
• Serves as chapter hostess interacting with chapter
members, parents, alumnae
• Supports chapter with event planning and recruitment
• Coordinates day to day facility management, works
hand in hand with FCB and AB
• Supervises staff, contractors
• Manages payroll
• Coordinates vendors and maintenance personnel
• Supervises all house procurement
• Supports cook and kitchen staff with meal and event
planning and budgeting
• Coordinates the opening and closing of the chapter
house with FCB, AB and chapter leadership
• Works with chapter leadership to ensure safety
procedures are followed
• Acts a liaison for campus activities involving house
directors
Qualifications:
Qualified individuals should have some managerial experience, knowledge of campus fraternity/sorority life, excellent communication skills, basic budgeting knowledge, and computer skills. A college degree is preferred. Candidates need to have a positive attitude, relate well to college women, and the ability to foster positive relationships with alumnae and parents. Flexibility, accessibility and problem solving skills are necessary for success. Must be physically active (bend, lift, climb). Reliable transportation is needed.
