Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Wyoming is seeking a professional, personable, female House Director. Position to begin August 2013 in our beautiful, historic home in Laramie, WY. The position is available for the academic year, but can be expanded to year round if the chosen candidate opts to.

We have 43 female residents who live in the chapter house.

Required Duties:
1. Must live on-site during academic year and be present and able to perform duties at all times, including overnight
2. Oversee the opening and closing of the chapter facility
3. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff-cook, kitchen help, housekeeper, and maintenance worker
4. Plan and coordinate meal services including the budgeting and purchasing related to food service and household supplies
5. Plan menus in cooperation with the cook and house chair in accordance with healthy meal standards and dietary restrictions
6. Act as a hostess by exhibiting a welcoming attitude including greeting students, parents, and visitors at special events
7. Arrange and supervise routine services, cleaning, and repairs
8. Maintain House Department financial books, ledgers, and records
9. Pay bills and keep accurate records of receipts and expenditures
10. Advise, nurture, and counsel residents, including educating members on etiquette and manners
11. Ensure life-safety requirements are met and obtain CPR/First aid training at expense of HB
12. Prepare annually a House Department Budget based on prior and projected income and expenses
13. Work with the alumnae and House Board members to strategize long-term care and upkeep of the facility
14. Complete food and kitchen safety training
15. Substitute for or find coverage for cook or housekeeper in their absence

Required Traits:
1. Possess mature judgment
2. Possess excellent communication, social, organization, and managerial skills
3. Enjoy working with and building relationships with college-aged women
4. Possess an understanding of young adults, their thought processes, and particular needs
5. Be energetic and proactive in the management of the House and the nurturing, supervision, and protection of its residents and guest
6. Ability to problem solve creatively and to remain calm during times of adversity

Technology Requirements:
1. Ability to communicate effectively via text and email
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office
3. Knowledge of online bill pay/banking
4. Knowledge of accounting software (Quickbooks)
5. Ability to scan and email documents

Salary and Benefits:
1. Salary commensurate with experience
2. Private single bedroom with private sitting area and private bathroom
3. Provide all utilities including basic cable, wireless internet, and local telephone
4. Provide board including meals and basic supplies
5. Assigned parking space
6. Reimbursement of mileage for work related travel
7. Two weeks of paid vacation in addition to holidays, winter break, and spring break
