Description
We are looking for a dynamic, personable candidate to supervise a chapter house of 39 residents and 75-80 non-residents, 1 cook, 1 houseboy and 1 house cleaner. Duties would include:
• Oversight of the opening of the Chapter House prior to the beginning of each semester, and the closing of the Chapter House after the end of each semester.
• Supervision of other Chapter employees and contractors including the hiring, firing, and discipline of all such individuals, including but not limited to housekeeping and kitchen staff.
• Using her judgment and discretion in the management of Chapter operations consistent with the best interest of the Chapter.
• Planning and coordinating meal services including the budgeting and purchasing related to food service.
• Supervision of the maintenance of the Chapter House and the grounds, including any employees and contractors related to same.
• Analyzing and reviewing issues and problems facing the Chapter and/or its members and outlining proposed solutions and recommendations for such issues and problems.
• Serving as counselor and friend to all members and new members of the Chapter at all times.
• Serving as official hostess for the Chapter.
• Supervising and maintaining the appropriate atmosphere in the dining room of the Chapter House.
• Following all applicable laws in her oversight and supervision of Chapter employees and contractors.
• Expending budgeted funds made available to her in accordance with the Chapter budget.
• Living in the Chapter House as a full-time resident and sleeping overnight at the Chapter House each night unless given advance permission from the General Advisor.
• Any and all other usual and customer duties to a house director position, including such duties that may be suggested for all house directors of Stephen F. Austin State University, and such other duties as may be agreed upon by the House Director and the Chapter with approval of the General Advisor.
