Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of North Texas is seeking a full-time, live-in, non-smoking female House Director. Position to begin July 1, 2013. Additionally, the House Director must be available to attend the ZTA House Director Seminar in Atlanta, GA, from July 25 - 28, 2013 for ZTA training. Expenses will be covered.
Twenty-five female members live in the chapter house and approximately 65 members live out of the chapter house.
The House Director supervises the daily operation of the Chapter House. Duties include, but are not limited to:
â€¢ Maintain the Chapter House as her primary residence and sleep at the house each night (unless prior approval is given by Local House Association President and General Advisor). The House Director must ensure that a suitable female substitute sleeps at the house in the event she is away overnight;
â€¢ Follow all House Rules, policies and procedures, and ensure that members do as well;
â€¢ Oversee the opening and closing of the Chapter House during holidays and breaks;
â€¢ Supervise weekly housekeeper;
â€¢ Purchase household supplies within allocated chapter budget;
â€¢ Maintain key fob security system;
â€¢ Identify maintenance issues and schedule maintenance and services;
â€¢ Communicate regularly with Local House Association President and House Manager;
â€¢ Be available 24/7 by cell phone in the event of emergencies;
â€¢ Provide mature counsel and assistance to Chapter Members, encouraging them to achieve their full potential as students, individuals and leaders.
The House Director lives in the Chapter House as a full-time resident and will be provided a furnished bedroom with private bathroom. Other benefits include a reserved parking space, health club membership, use of kitchen, and use of laundry facilities.
The House Director is an employee of the chapter. The ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation, Local House Association, and advisory board play a vital role in assisting the Chapter in its role as employer. The House Director will work closely with the Local House Association President, General Advisor, House Manager, Chapter Treasurer, and Chapter President.
