Our new Resident House Director will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of volunteer alumna members to manage the daily operations of a beautiful facility conveniently located within walking distance of the University of Utah. This lovely two story Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter house was built in 1932, has 70 collegiate members (of which 21 live-in), and hundreds of alumna members living in the Salt Lake Valley.
Required skills: excellent organization and communication abilities, budgeting, knowledge of Quickbooks, email and PC skills with previous property management experience being a plus. Desired traits would be a positive solution-focused attitude and the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, parents, alumnae, service providers, contractors and community resources. Enjoyment from working with college-aged women, patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor are beneficial.
Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and productive environment for residents and members, observance of House Rules and House Corporation policies and procedures, oversight of multiple service providers, coordination of staff and routine maintenance, and working with the alumnae and collegiate House Board members to strategize for the long-term care and upkeep of the facility. Increased duties for additional pay are available for the right candidate (negotiable).
Benefits include a private single bedroom, sitting area, and private bathroom with the following utilities included: electric, gas, cable, high speed internet, and telephone. Board is included throughout the school year. Actual hours worked vary by the time of year, and time off is flexible during scheduled university breaks.
