A full time live in House Director for Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX is desired. Up to 36 members can live in the 3-story chapter house. The House Director will coordinate and direct normal operation of the chapter house to create a warm home-like environment.

Zeta Lambda House Corporation Standard of Civility:
Serves as a representative of the house corporation, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Alpha Delta Pi and Greek communities and with the public.

Contract Start Date: January 1, 2013

Required Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; independence and initiative; pro-active attitude towards students.
- Must be able to interact and collaborate with house corporation and chapter leaders, gain the trust and confidence of students, and manage house staff.
- Must have the diplomacy, patience, and tact necessary to successfully address a wide range of interactions with house corporation directors, chapter members, house staff, contractors and vendors, parents, and community members.
- Must be able to provide an open door policy for visiting students and others seeking assistance, with the exception of established private hours.

Experience Preferred:
House Director or facility management experience preferred

Physical Demands:
Must be able to move about the 3-story facility, assist with setting up chapter events (moving tables, chairs, dishes),

Work Schedule : House Director will be required to be present at the chapter house 11pm-6am nightly, and attend chapter dinner 3 out of 4 weeks a night, plus several other meals throughout the week. The House Director will also need to be available to meet with cooks, contractors, cleaning staff and house visitors on a needed basis, 8:00am-5pm weekly. One weekend off per month, with appropriate substitute, is allowed. Summer months will require only house bills to be paid and assist with summer projects as needed. Daily summer schedule will fluctuate.

Compensation: A private apartment will be provided in addition to a monthly stipend, meals, free parking, and all utilities paid (electric, gas, phone, cable and high-speed internet). Cell phone reimbursement will be given, along with mileage reimbursement as they pertain to house duties. The House Director will receive one weekend off per month. The Alpha Delta Pi house is located in the Greek Village, near 11 other sorority houses, making networking among other house directors accessible.

Specific Responsibilities:
-Opening and closing the chapter house
-Keep house secure and safe, and reside in House Directorâ€s apartment at night
-Host formal chapter dinners Monday evenings as needed and be present at dinner 3 out of 4 times a week
-Assist chapter members and house corporation with setup of chapter functions
-Ensure the public areas of the house are presentable at all times
-Purchase all household supplies and maintain inventory
-Provide mature counsel and assistance to chapter members.
-Meet weekly with chapter Property Manager
-Pay certain house bills on house corporationâ€s behalf
-Meet with contractors and vendors for certain house projects
-Over see contracted food service and manage cleaning staff
-Oversee meal planning, purchasing and eat with chapter members
-Keep accurate record of staff hours and report them in a timely manner to accountant
-Keep open communication with House Corporation directors
