Description
The Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority is seeking a non-smoking, live-in female house director. The house director serves as the on-site manager for our beautiful, historical chapter house located on the center of the UW campus and is responsible for assisting with the development and well-being of 50 members residing in the house. The House Director resides in a suite on the main floor of the house and participates in the planning of chapter activities, operations, and maintenance.
Interested candidates are required to submit both a resume and cover letter along with three references.
Primary responsibilities include:
*Coordinating the check-in and check-out of members living in the house
*Monitoring the physical integrity of the house and reporting maintenance concerns for immediate repair
*Ensuring students' behaviors are consistent with appropriate living conditions regarding the physical integrity and safety of the house at all times
*Informing chapter members about policies, regulations and safety procedures in accordance with campus and sorority policies
*Meeting regularly with the Chapter House Chairwoman, House Corporation President, and UW Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator
*Submitting a monthly report on the chapter, housing operations and other issues
Location:
1604 Sorority Row, University of Wyoming Campus, Laramie, Wyoming
Compensation:
The salary is $20,000-$25,000 for ten months, based on experience. Room, board, and a parking spot are also provided.
Duration:
August 21 through end of Spring 2015 Semester. Contract can be renewed with a bonus upon satisfactory work. Can begin ASAP if available.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates should preferably have experience with sorority life or residential living, supervision of staff, and student leadership. Knowledge of UW policies and federal, state, and local laws is helpful. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email and be able to communicate effectively.
