Description
The Zeta Nu (UC Davis) chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta seeks a Facility Director to begin employment in August 2014. This is a full-time, live-in position at a facility that houses 33 residents, with approximately 125 total chapter members.
The Facility Director directs and oversees operations of the facility (including property maintenance, food service, and housekeeping), monitors the facility budget, supervises staff, and ensures that the physical structure is safe and well-maintained. In general, the Facility Director is a leader who manages the business of facility and is a confident, capable, and compassionate adult presence for the chapter women. She is expected to act in a professional manner, set an example in appearance, demeanor, and courtesy to others, and represent the chapter in a positive manner on campus, in the community, and to guests, alumnae, and parents. The Facility Director is required to sleep in the facility all nights of the academic terms and be on the premises for the contractual hours per day and week.
Prior experience as a Facility Director or other relevant experience is necessary. Skills in property management, basic knowledge of home maintenance, past experience supervising employees, managing a budget, and kitchen oversight are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be bright, personable, have a sense of confidentiality, have a desire to work with collegiate women, and possess excellent communication and organizational abilities.
In addition to her salary, the Facility Director is provided with private quarters in the Zeta Nu facility (all utilities included) and meals throughout the academic terms. The Zeta Nu facility is smoke-free and alcohol/drug-free.
